SERVERS / BEVERAGE CART / OUTSIDE OUTLETS
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
- The server is responsible for providing efficient,
courteous service to club members and guests to exceed their expectations.
Duties: Within the limits of authorized policies,
procedures, programs, the server:
- Provides food and beverage service to members and guests,
according to standards established by management
- Ensures that members/guests understand all menus and
changes
- Know the wines offered on the club’s wine list
and serves them proficiently
- Prepares all dining areas for meal service
- Ensures that all dining areas(outside shack & beverage
cart) are maintained in a clean, orderly manner
- Assists in setting up dining rooms when requested
- Cleans server areas in the kitchen and shacks. Ensuring
that all server area cleaning schedules are adhered to
- Ensures that any member complaints are reported immediately
to the manager on duty or supervisor
- Maintains good working relationships with all food and
beverage and clubhouse staff
- Participates in training sessions organized by the Food
and Beverage Manager when requested
- Greet members and guests and provide them with menu
information, including preparation techniques, specials and wine pairings
- Communicate with dining room and kitchen personnel
- Perform all other duties that may be required from time
to time when instructed to do so by your supervisor or Manager
Accountability/Key Responsibilities:
The server is accountable to the Food and Beverage Manager,
Guest Services Manager, Shift Supervisor and General Manager.
The server relates primarily with:
- Members/Guests, fellow department line staff
- Food and Beverage Supervisory personnel
- Chefs and cooks
- The General Manager and Food and Beverage Manager
Necessary Skills:
In performing the required duties, the server must
possess:
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to coordinate the timing of the food and
beverage services
Required Experience/Qualifications:
The server should bring to this position:
- A high level of physical fitness
- A responsible attitude, including reliability and the
ability to work with minimal supervision
- The ability to work swiftly and efficiently, including
working well under pressure
- A working knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages
- A basic knowledge of country club system software
- A working knowledge of suggestive selling techniques

Cook
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
- Cook the prepared food items in the prescribed method
and ensure that all food products have been prepared correctly before
cooking
Duties: Within the limits of authorized policies,
procedures and programs,
the cook:
- Arrive on time and ready for work
- Ensure that proper preparation procedures have been
completed
- Prepare the cooking areas for the shift
- Maintain the highest level of food quality obtainable
- Communicate with co-workers, servers and management
- Be aware of what is happening in the clubhouse (large
groups)
- Account for every food item used
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen
- Follow all health regulations prescribed
- Follow all the restaurant regulations prescribed
- Control and limit waste
- Communicate problems and ideas to management
- Attend all meetings
- Maintain all kitchen equipment and utensils
- Keep every area of the kitchen clean and organized
- Follow the proper rotation procedures
- Label and date all products used
- Follow management’s instruction s and suggestions
- Able to work weekends during Golf Season
- Able to work shift work and banquets
Accountability/Key Responsibilities:
The cook is accountable to the Food and Beverage Manager
and The Kitchen Manager/Supervisor. The cook relates primarily with:
- The food and beverage manager, the general manager,
fellow department heads, food and beverage supervisory staff and line
staff
Necessary Skills:
In performing the required duties, the cook must possess:
- One year of cooking experience and/or culinary diploma
- Knife Skills
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Basic cooking knowledge and food prep
- Able to follow instructions and carry out assigned tasks

Greens Maintenance
Works under
the supervision of superintendent and assistant superintendents. Ensures
all tasks are completed safely, effectively and efficiently to provide
the best possible conditions for our members
Greens Maintenance Staff:
- Follows all policies and procedures as outlined in employee
manual
- May be required to perform duties including, but not
limited to: equipment operation, course set-up, course clean up,
construction operations, hand watering, turf repair
- May be required to perform duties involving walking,
riding equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, twisting, shoveling, hand mower
operation,
- Completes assigned tasks in an efficient and timely
manner as per time estimation chart
- Hard hat is worn at all times on course
- Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment
on a daily basis;
- reports equipment problems or failure to the Equipment
Manager immediately and enters on equipment breakdown sheet
- Returns and cleans all equipment to the designated locations
at the maintenance facility.
- Keeps a clean work area including the lunchroom and
surrounding maintenance facility areas.
- Requires knowledge of work place safety. Operates equipment
ONLY after receiving proper training, and wears appropriate personal
protective equipment
- Is prepared to work in all weather conditions
- Is in the lunchroom promptly at or before 5:15 am and
on the course promptly at 5:30 am during the peak season .Overtime
is encouraged when requested.
- Is required to work during the Kawartha Invitational
Civic long weekend
- Is courteous to golfers and avoids disrupting their
game
- Knows location of all dump sites and appropriate materials
- Operates all vehicles safely as per training session
- Always washes carts or machines after use and removes
all belongings and garbage
- Always parks machines in designated location
- Always picks up garbage or branches on course
- Straightens ropes signs etc. if out of place
- Reports any broken course hardware
- Always replaces benches, posts etc. if moved for any
reason
- Understands all policies, procedures and locations of
important areas as per orientation checklist
